Behavioral Technical

I did 2 phone interviews before going to an on campus interview. The interview was very conversational. The interviewer asked mostly about college involvement and extracurriculars, with only about 3 minutes spent on academics. The rest of the time was focused on leadership and involvement. The interviewer was very personal. I think I didn't get an offer because I was honest about my startup extracurricular, which is still a learning experience. Apparently, it would have been better to say I was highly involved and on executive boards of everything.

Behavioral Technical Case

I initially applied for the Associate Consultant role online through Handshake after meeting the recruiters at a campus event. The first step was a 30-minute behavioral interview which felt very casual and conversational, not like a typical interview at all. Following that, I had final round interviews consisting of three back-to-back 45-minute sessions with senior management. These sessions included behavioral questions, some technical questions, and a whiteboarding exercise that was like a short, informal case study. Throughout the entire process, the people at Clarkston were incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable.

Behavioral Presentation

After a recruiting event, I had an initial on-campus interview and it went really well. It was mostly behavioral questions with hardly any technical ones. I then advanced to the final rounds. For the final interviews, I had to give a 5-7 minute presentation on why I'd be a good fit for a consulting career. The final interviews involved meeting with 2 senior consultants and a VP. Two of the three interviews were quite challenging, requiring me to lead the conversation. Overall, the experience was great, and the interviewers were professional and welcoming. I didn't get an offer, but I still valued the opportunity.
