I interviewed with the office manager and the managing partner. They were both nice but kept it professional. The interviews started right on time, which was great. The office vibe while I waited felt good, which I always think is a positive sign.

I experienced a transparency issue regarding compensation. I clearly stated my salary expectations upfront. Despite going through the entire interview process, including vetting and a conflict check, they decided not to extend an offer, citing my expectations as too high, even though I had disclosed them initially.

It wasn't a super scary experience, mostly focused on whether you'd fit into the company culture. They want to talk about your experience and goals. Make sure you show you're into entrepreneurship because the company really cares about business development. The whole process takes a while because you have to meet with a bunch of partners and leaders from different business units and directors.

I was initially contacted by a recruiter and asked to submit an application. Following that, I had an interview at the firm's office with the office manager, which I felt went quite well and lasted for about an hour and a half. During the interview, I was informed about two available positions, one that demanded slightly less experience than the other. The office manager mentioned she would personally follow up with me regardless of the outcome. A week later, the recruiter contacted me, not the office manager, to inform me that although they were impressed, they had decided to move forward with a candidate who had more experience. This was acceptable to me. However, about a week after that, I noticed they reposted both of the job openings I had applied for. Furthermore, they seemed to disregard all follow-up emails from both myself and the recruiter they eventually hired, who was inquiring if the position had become available again. It was a rather frustrating and confusing experience that unfortunately left me with a poor impression of the company.
