My family member interviewed for a job as a school leaver and they said the interview didn't seem too difficult. People were friendly. Parking was expensive and the town was busy. The shop was tidy with lots of products and seemed to get busy.

It was online and after the interview rounds, the company might do reference checks to check my qualifications and experience. We can negotiate terms of employment, like salary, benefits, and start date, before I officially accept the job offer.

I sent my CV for a Sales Associate job at my local store. A few days later, an employee called and asked if I wanted to interview with the manager. I went to the interview in the back break room. The manager asked if I knew the job was only for 4 hours a week (I didn't) and if I still wanted to proceed (I figured I might as well). The manager was nice and easy to talk to, and the questions were straightforward, mostly standard interview questions. She mentioned she'd follow up after interviewing others in the coming days. About a week and a half later, the manager called to say I wasn't successful. However, she asked if she could keep my details for future openings, as I was a 'strong candidate', to which I agreed. Despite not getting the job, it was my first interview and a positive experience.
