Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen).
Intern
I went through two interviews with CLA before they made their final decision. The first was with a recruiter who asked me questions to get to know me. The last interview was with two CLA team members, and the questions were mostly behavioral. Everyone was really welcoming and friendly. I got the offer a week after our last meeting.
- Can you share an instance where your integrity was challenged?
Intern
I had a phone call with the recruiter to start, where they asked me some basic questions like going over my resume and why I'm interested in accounting. After that, I had a Zoom interview with a principal from that branch. This one was more of a chat where they told me more about the company.
- Could you tell me about your resume?
- What are your reasons for pursuing accounting?
Intern
The interview process was quite long. It began with an initial phone interview, followed by four consecutive interviews, each lasting at least 30 minutes and involving multiple interviewers. The primary focus was on assessing whether I, as a college student, could acknowledge I don't know everything about public accounting and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
- Are you graduating college with 150 credits?
