There was a data challenge, and then I met with some team members, including senior ones. It also involved a whiteboard challenge where I had to manipulate data within a data structure. Overall, it wasn't too intense.

I applied through campus recruiting and the interview was in the school career center. It was about an hour long and I spoke with two different recruiters. They asked about my resume and experience, and then asked some questions about the job.

So, first there was a phone call to go over my resume and check if I could think analytically and solve problems. We also chatted about the company and what the rest of the interview process looked like, plus my hobbies. Then, about a week before the next step, they sent over a data challenge. It was this big dataset, like 2GB, with a business problem to solve. I had to come up with a solution based on what I found in the data and then explain my methods and show visualizations. The next round was basically me presenting my analysis, showing I knew my data science stuff and could explain my thought process. I also met with a few other people, including a partner and a director. These chats were pretty similar to the first round, mostly just learning more about the company and the kind of work they do. Overall, I really liked how the interviews were set up, especially the data challenge part.

Each interview had a somewhat long fit portion and then a brainteaser/quantitative question at the end. Overall, the process felt smooth, but one interviewer was arrogant and gave the impression that he did not want to be there. He asked me about my previous work with a start-up company, and then said the start-up's product did not sound like a good idea. It seemed like an unnecessary comment, especially since I was not a founder of the start-up company and only did a summer internship there.
