First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CJ Logistics America.
Team Lead
It was an easy interview that lasted about 20 minutes. I got an offer after passing the forklift assessment. I'd expect to start work about a month after the interview date, once the background check clears. Don't be afraid to follow up during the hiring process; the recruiters are really nice and informative.
- Do you have experience operating a forklift?
Production Planner
The interview process was pretty standard. The management team was mainly interested in hearing about my experience with warehousing and leadership scenarios. Since the position I applied for was a newly created one, they appeared to be looking for candidates with a strong background.
- Can you describe some projects you participated in during your previous role?
HR Manager
The interview process was not great. I had to take the Wonderlic test twice. The first time was online, and then they made me take it in person, possibly because I passed the first time. The recruiter wanted to know my salary expectations before the in-person interview, which I felt should have come after we determined if I was a good fit for the role. She also seemed suspicious of my referral, asking me to explain it. When I went in for the in-person interview, it was with a junior employee who seemed unprepared and even mentioned having alcohol at the office. I didn't get the job, which turned out to be for the best.
- Can you name two of your strongest skills, and if you had to choose just one, which would it be?
Logistics Manager
The interview process involved a phone interview, three assessment tests (two of which were timed), and two in-person interviews. The process felt disorganized, with a total of 5 people interviewed. An invitation for a third onsite interview was extended to meet more people, but I declined due to the time commitment, low salary (below market), and the company's apparent indecisiveness given the lengthy process for a logistics manager role. The salary cap was also revealed during the invitation for the third interview.
- Tell me about a time you had to handle conflict.
