Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at City of Mississauga Canada.
Co-Op Student
It was a single 15-minute video interview with the supervisor and assistant supervisor. They asked straightforward questions about my experience, teamwork, and availability. They also ask if you have a car, and a valid license.
- Can you describe a situation where you and your team encountered a problem and how you handled it?
IT Intern
Had a Teams call, around 30 minutes. The hiring manager/lead was there with someone from the team. Standard behavioral questions.
- Can you share an experience where you dealt with a challenging customer?
Co-Op Student
It was a pretty smooth conversation. They had questions ready and printed out, and the interviewer just went through them. I guess for a co-op position, they didn't ask too many technical things.
- Tell me about yourself.
- In a situation like X, what would you do?
