So, first I got an email, and then I had this panel interview. I had to wait outside the office for a bit before I went in to talk to like 7 staff members. The interview itself was pretty straightforward, mostly asking standard STAR questions and about my previous work experience.

Behavioral Technical Other

An HR person called me but I missed it so I had to call them back to find out they wanted to interview me. They asked me about the salary and I had to ask them what it was because they didn't know. Then I had to do this horrible recorded interview on the computer. After that I had an interview with 5 people who asked really stupid questions. I asked them about the job duties but they couldn't tell me anything. Someone said I would hear back in 48 hours either way but I never did and the job is still open.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • The situational questions they asked were ridiculous, especially for a city job with a basic salary.
  • They read from a script instead of asking about my background and how I could add value.
