I had a good first chat with the recruiter. The hiring manager really liked me and seemed eager for me to join the team. My next set of interviews with two team members also went really well! Then I had an interview with the senior director, which was a terrible experience. She seemed uninterested and annoyed from the start, even yawning during our video call. She appeared to be disappointed that I wasn't a man, which was odd given that all the previous team members I met were men. I was excited to meet a female senior leader, but her approach was very disappointing. She immediately said she didn't understand why the interview was scheduled as there was nothing new she could tell me. This made the job I was excited about seem unlikely. I was very upset afterwards and considered filing a discrimination complaint, but decided to wait and discuss it with the recruiter, who never followed up. I won't consider this company again or recommend them.

I submitted my application online. About a week later, HR contacted me. I then went through phone interviews with HR, the hiring manager, and a peer. After that, I had in-person interviews with the same people, plus the department's EVP. This whole thing took about two months, and then I got the job offer.

The interview process started with a recruiter from CNB who scheduled the meeting and provided all the necessary details. The recruiter even met me in the lobby before the interviews. I had one meeting scheduled with two managers, a VP and an SVP, who were unfortunately late. Although I have 20 years of experience in risk, they didn't ask me to review my resume or discuss my background, which I found surprising. The managers mostly deflected questions about themselves and instead responded to my answers with comments like 'That was actually a good answer.' I felt there was a significant lack of professionalism, and I wouldn't recommend interviewing with Central Risk Ops because of this.
