Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at City National Bank.
Salesforce Business Analyst
The interview was great, but I wasn't given a clear job description or the reason for this new role on the team. I felt the interview was a bit rushed. I didn't accept the offer.
- Can you describe your experience with Salesforce cloud and your duties as an admin?
Business Systems Analyst
It was a strange process. The first call was pretty relaxed, with the hiring manager interviewing me for about 30 minutes. I felt like we clicked, so I moved on to the next stage, which involved two interviews with potential peers or supervisors. These were scheduled back-to-back, both 30 minutes each, so it was a bit rushed. The first interviewer spent most of their time talking about themselves, barely asking me anything. In the last 10 minutes, they asked questions that would normally take much longer to answer. They didn't seem to notice the time limit, and I had to cut them off to make sure I was on time for the next interview, which seemed to annoy them. The second interview in this stage went much better, with actual conversation, but it felt mostly like a check to see if I was a good cultural fit, with only a few technical questions thrown in.
- The manager asked some standard questions and seemed interested and thoughtful.
- The first interviewer just rambled on, not really asking questions.
- The second interviewer was a bit unfocused but we had a decent conversation.
Business Analyst
There were several rounds of interviews with the team. Some interviews felt repetitive, but it seems like they wanted to get a broad sense of who I am. The questions weren't too hard and didn't really dive deep into skills. It was more of a vibe check since it was an entry-level position.
- Tell me about any experience you have in real estate.
- What makes you interested in working in the real estate industry?
