First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Citizens.
Customer Service Representative
First there was a phone interview, then a 1 on 1 meeting, and after that I met with a banking manager who asked mostly behavioral questions. There were also a bunch of online tests, covering cognitive abilities, customer service simulations, personality type, and situational examples. After that, I had to pass a credit and background check. Lots of people were applying for the same job. I got the job offer the next day. My advice is to dress to impress and bring a padfolio with an extra resume and a pen and pad.
- What is your understanding of Citizens Bank and the banking sector?
- Can you describe a challenging situation you faced and explain how you managed it?
- What would you identify as your key strengths and weaknesses?
Customer Service Representative
It was pretty chill, just be yourself and answer the questions. You'll do a phone interview, then a face-to-face one. If the managers think you're a good fit, they'll offer you the job. Expect about 7-10 questions about the job or what you'd do in certain situations. It's easy if you're genuine and know what they're looking for. Choose your words carefully.
- What would you do if a customer was being rude and you didn't know the answer or how to help them?
Customer Service Representative
The application was straightforward and went smoothly until the end of the phone interview. They mentioned I'd hear back either way about their decision within a week. However, I never got any communication, and my attempts to follow up were ignored.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
