Data Scientist
So it started with a phone screen with the recruiter and hiring manager, which was a mix of background questions and some technical stuff. Then, I had 5 rounds with different team members. These included technical interviews (like LeetCode problems), case studies (focused on business and ML), and behavioral interviews where they asked things like why I was interested in the role.
- Can you write a SQL query using CTEs, joins, and aggregations for a specific use case?
Data Scientist
There was a Zoom screening with HR. HR seemed irritated and didn't really get what they were asking. Questions were rushed, and they didn't seem to be listening. The interviewer was also in a dark room, which was weird. If you pass this, you have to do a 1-hour SQL challenge with a data engineer and then a several-hour "virtual on site interview".
- Have you downloaded the app, and what were your thoughts on it?
- Are you familiar with KPIs?
- What salary are you targeting?
Data Scientist
I had a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager screen, and finally an onsite interview. It was a bummer because after the onsite, I heard absolutely nothing back from them. I ended up following up after like two months, by which time I had already accepted a job elsewhere, and they told me they were still looking.
