Coding System Design Technical

I had a 15 minute call with the recruiter. The first round was a LeetCode-style coding interview. The second round focused on API design. The third round involved implementing a web app. I got a rejection after that. The recruiter mentioned a system design round, but it didn't happen, which felt misleading because I prepared for that instead of practicing quick web app development.

So it started with a phone screen with the recruiter and hiring manager, which was a mix of background questions and some technical stuff. Then, I had 5 rounds with different team members. These included technical interviews (like LeetCode problems), case studies (focused on business and ML), and behavioral interviews where they asked things like why I was interested in the role.

Behavioral Case Presentation

I had a phone interview with an HR person for about 20 minutes. It was mostly standard questions. They told me there would be more interviews and a case study to prepare and present to the hiring team. I got an email four days later saying they chose someone else.

I applied on LinkedIn. After the first interview, I got a technical exam that took hours. I passed that and got a conditional offer. Then, I had two more interviews with leadership, but things stalled. My start date passed, they gave excuses about hiring being on hold, and then stopped communicating. I saw new postings, reached out, and was told they were for a backup list. They said I was at the top of the list and they'd contact me when hiring resumed. It's been over 5 months since then, and there are new postings again. Honestly, don't bother applying. They require so many interviews and tests, making you take days off work, only to ghost you. I've never seen anything like it.
