FP&A Analyst
So the job was for FP&A Analyst in Mumbai. First, I had a phone chat with HR. They asked basic stuff like why I left my last job and if I was okay with EMEA hours. Since it was an entry-level role (grade C9), I was pretty flexible. Then, all the in-person interviews were on the same day. There were like 4-5 other people interviewing too. It went from morning all the way to the evening. They let me know the result a few days later via email. The whole thing, from referral to the offer, was super quick.
- Are you willing to consider a role different from the one described in the job description?
- What's your reason for leaving your previous employment?
- Are you amenable to working shifts covering the EMEA region?
FP&A Manager
This was the worst interview process ever. They made me sit for a whole day for 4-5 rounds of interviews. The interviewers weren't even senior people. The 4th round interviewer was a Team Lead with 15 years of experience, and the 5th round interviewer had 9 years of experience. To top it off, I got rejected in the 5th round. What really bothered me was how a junior person could reject a candidate after a senior person had already approved them. The position is still open, and consultants keep calling me about it.
- Can you explain the impact of the global economy on Citi bank?
FP&A Analyst
It was challenging. The technical questions really make you think. The interviewer was good and made me feel comfortable, giving me time to think about my answers. The questions focused on what drives loan growth and the factors behind it.
- What are the drivers and factors contributing to loan growth?
