Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cision.
Research Analyst
I went through 3 remote interviews with people getting more senior on the HR and Analytics side. After the interviews, I got an offer and they said they'd tell me about salary later.
- Could you tell me about your years of experience in a data-focused role?
Research Analyst
The interview process was quick and straightforward. It kicked off with a phone screen with a hiring partner. Then, there was a data and insights test to complete. After finishing the test, you'd move on to a one-hour competency-based interview. Following that, there was one more interview before a potential offer. I got through the one-hour interview but didn't go any further in the hiring process.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What motivated your application for this position?
- Could you describe your research background?
Research Analyst
The whole interview took about two and a half hours. The first hour involved two line managers who asked a bunch of competency questions, plus some general chat about my background and personality. Then, I met with a Service Delivery Manager for the second part. This included more competency questions and two quick tasks: first, a proofreading exercise, and then a writing task.
