First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cirrus Logic.
Digital Engineer
It was an online interview, with both an analogue and a digital team member present. They mostly asked about my CV and some technical questions about digital topics. Even though it's a digital engineer role, they really focused on analogue understanding.
- Can you elaborate on digital adders within audio applications?
- Regarding audio signals, did you think about clipping as a possibility instead of overflow?
Product Engineer
So there were 2 interviews total, I talked with a director for one and a manager for the other. They asked me about my engineering skills, and also touched on probability, statistics, and graphs. They also asked about what I did during college, and my English and first language skills.
- Can you tell me about your data analysis abilities?
- What's your experience with graphs?
- How are your cooperative skills?
Engineer
So, a friend told me they were trying to boost their wireless game and needed someone strategic. I had to push a bit to get a phone interview with HR. It was going pretty well until they hit me with the salary question. After that, radio silence. The HR person eventually emailed back with a flimsy excuse that they actually needed an audio engineer, not a wireless whiz. Total bummer, but it taught me to dodge that salary topic like the plague.
- Could you share your current salary?
- What's your current compensation?
