First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cintas.
Sales Representative
I went through four interviews plus a ride-along, and then a final interview, but didn't get the job even though senior management said I "nailed" it. I spent about 8-10 hours over two weeks on this, and all I got was a generic rejection email instead of a call. I asked the manager for feedback on how to improve for future interviews, but they ignored me, which felt very unprofessional.
- What relevant experience do you have?
- Can you describe your past roles and responsibilities?
- Walk me through your previous sales experiences.
Sales Representative
The interview process with Cintas was professional and organized, focusing on my sales experience and how I handle customer relations. It started with a phone screen to talk about my background in sales management and client service. Then, I had a more detailed interview with a branch manager, which included questions about specific situations and my behavior. After that, I did a ride-along to see what the day-to-day job involves and get a feel for the company culture, which seemed very focused on professionalism and taking care of customers. The last interview was with senior leaders and was about my future goals and making sure I fit with Cintas's values like integrity, teamwork, and having a strong work ethic.
- Can you share an instance from your previous job when you experienced pressure?
Sales Representative
The interview process was pretty long. It started with a bunch of phone interviews, each lasting over an hour with a recruiter. If you got past that, you had to meet in person with the Market Area Manager for a 2-hour interview. The MAM mostly asked standard questions and seemed more interested in my background and what I could offer than anything else. I thought it went well, and the MAM said they'd set up a follow-up. But I haven't heard anything since. It's weird because they kept talking about how great the work environment is.
