First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cigniti Inc..
Test Engineer
I interviewed for an automation engineer role focusing on QTP. The process involved three technical rounds and one HR round. The first round was a written test with four VBscripting questions: date manipulation, string reversal, file I/O, and number extraction from a string. The subsequent two technical rounds were straightforward, focusing on your familiarity with frameworks from past projects and specifically on QTP webtable interaction methods, which is a common interview topic. After clearing the technical stages, the HR round was mainly about discussing salary and finalizing the offer.
- How to click on a link within a webtable?
- Could you explain the keyword-driven framework?
- What are the different methods for reading data from an Excel sheet?
Software Test Engineer
I interviewed with Cigniti twice. The first time, I cleared the first round, but the position went on. For the second attempt, I cleared the first round, which involved an hour of technical questions about roasting. I also cleared the second round, which was an overview of the project. The third, manager-level round was still unscheduled. When I asked HR about the schedule, they said there was an issue with my profile, even though they had processed two other candidates for the same job. I'm confused why my profile was shortlisted if there were issues, and how I cleared the technical rounds. It felt unprofessional.
- Are there any questions related to real-time scenarios based on your profile?
- Can you answer technical questions on roasting?
Test Engineer
The interview process was pathetic, with 4 technical rounds and 2 HR rounds. The questions were basic and easy, but scheduling was a mess, requiring three visits to Cigniti. The interviewers were experienced, and HR was good. Results were given the same day. The twist was that after clearing all rounds and discussing CTC, HR asked me to resign and promised an offer soon. However, they became unresponsive. Eventually, HR cited 'profile on hold' possibly due to high CTC and notice period, making it a waste of time, energy, and money.
- Can you introduce yourself and talk about your project?
- What are the basic questions related to the insurance domain?
- Can you describe the life cycle and testing scenarios for policy testing?
