Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cicero Group.
Associate Intern
The interview process with any consulting firm is tough and needs a lot of prep, but Cicero really helps you out all through it. The people there genuinely care about you and do their absolute best to assist with any problems or questions that you might have.
- Tell me about the operational efficiency of a manufacturing firm with 3 warehouses.
Intern
The interview process started with a pre-screen, which was a recorded interview. The first round involved two cases with business analysts. The second round was a weird written case where you're given survey data to make slides within a 1-hour time limit. You then present these slides to two associate consultants and a manager. Honestly, it was a pretty bad way to test candidates because you're given so little time and so much useless information. They were more focused on adding the sample size of the population than my actual analysis or conclusion. They were all pretending to be nice, and it was a huge red flag throughout the interview process - beware.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Cicero?
- What is your motivation for pursuing a career in consulting?
- Could you please introduce yourself?
Intern
I first sent in my application and cover letter. After that, the initial interview was a virtual call over the phone. They gave us a really helpful packet that laid out what to expect in the interview and throughout the different stages, and they made sure we knew how to use the video interview tool.
- Can you share some of your experiences?
