Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cicero Group.
Associate
This experience was quite different from BCG or Bain, much less structured and more casual. I spoke with several associates and partners. There were two case interviews, one straightforward and one more challenging. I also had to present a PowerPoint presentation that I had prepared myself, based on research and analysis I had done previously. This was the most difficult part as much of my prior research was proprietary and couldn't be shared, so I had to get creative to find something suitable to present.
- Tell me about your interest in this role.
- Can you explain your past experience?
- How does your experience apply to this role?
Associate
So the first step was this video interview thing where you had to record your answers to some questions. Be careful, because once you start recording, you can't redo it, and you gotta stay within the time limit. Then, the second round was in person. I think the third round was a case presentation, but they stopped hiring for a bit because of COVID, so I'm not totally sure.

Associate
It was a three-round process. The first round was a virtual interview with basic questions and a market sizing question. The second round involved a case study and behavioral questions. The third round was a case study where I had to come up with a recommendation and then role-play presenting it to executives.
- Could you estimate the market size for shrimp in the United States?
