Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ciber.
Software Engineer
I went through three rounds. The first two were technical. The first technical round involved writing code on paper, and the second focused on programming and project-specific questions. The third round was a managerial interview, which I didn't pass.
- Questions mostly from core Java.
- Questions mostly from Hibernate.
- Questions mostly from Spring.
Software Developer
I found the job on job portals and got a response in about a week. A recruiter then gave me a call to talk about the role, how long it is, and what benefits I'd get if hired, plus the salary. After that, they set up an interview with the Team Lead and Project Manager. The Project Manager called me around 7:00 PM CST, even though the interview was scheduled for about 5:00 PM. It was a 30-minute phone interview.
- Could you tell me about OOPS and fundamental concepts in Java?
- Do you have experience with Adobe LiveCycle and Workbench?
Senior Software Developer
The interview process was really good. They asked detailed questions about my work experience, responsibilities, and achievements. I explained the details of a project I worked on and my role in it, and also why I was interested in joining the company.
- Can you describe your previous work experience and any achievements?
- What were your responsibilities in your previous projects?
- What is your motivation for joining our company?
