Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CI&T.
UI/UX Designer
after submitting the resume into the system, the first interview is conducted by an AI on WhatsApp which asks to answer questions in audio (depending on the vacancy, it's in English or Portuguese). This AI provides good feedback on the answers. After that, HR gets in touch to say whether you passed to the next stage or not, but doesn't provide detailed feedback on the reason for rejection.
- Can you describe a project where you collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to solve a design problem, including the challenges faced and how you overcame them?
UI/UX Designer
My experience with CI&T's hiring process has been quite disappointing and frustrating, especially since this isn't the first time I've had a similar issue with them. While the process seemed quick at first, there was a significant period of uncertainty between the different stages. They rescheduled my meeting multiple times, and each time, issues arose causing delays and agenda changes. The most frustrating part was that on the day of the final meeting, I logged in at the agreed time, but no one from the team showed up. To make matters worse, on that same day, I was informed that the offer had been frozen, leaving me with the feeling that I had wasted my time. This lack of clarity and organization not only impacts the candidate experience but also shows a lack of respect for the time and effort invested. In my case, the process moved forward to the technical interview, and then, after a week or two, I was told the offer was frozen. This has happened twice now, suggesting it's a recurring problem in their hiring process. In summary, CI&T needs to improve transparency and communication during the hiring process to prevent more candidates from feeling disregarded and wasting their time unnecessarily.
- How do you handle stakeholder feedback?
UX Designer
It was a conversation with the project lead and HR, then a conversation with someone from the team I would work with. Relaxed conversations and very welcoming people. I didn't accept because I had already accepted another offer that made more sense for me at that time.
- What do you value in a company's culture?
