First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CI&T.
Java Developer
The hiring process was effective and quick. The recruiters were upfront and brief when discussing the process, the company, and what it offers. However, you need to sell yourself and negotiate your salary because, like any other company, they aim to hire you at the lowest possible budgeted amount.
- Can you elaborate on your understanding of REST?
- What general computing concepts are you familiar with?
- What are some prevailing best practices in the industry?
Junior Java Developer
The process was quick, less than a week after I applied, I was contacted on LinkedIn. The recruiter scheduled a short meeting to see if my profile fit the role. A few days later, she reached out again to schedule the technical interview. The technical interview was really nice; the interviewers were a QA and an architect. They chatted in a very relaxed way, so the whole process felt like a sharing of experiences. There was a part in English. It was great talking to them, they listened well, and I could also conclude that the 'humanized management' apparently happens at CI&T. It was an interesting conversation, and they were very capable of answering my questions.
- Tell me about a project, the technologies used, your learnings, and how you developed it.
- Can you explain the concept of a class in Java?
- What is your understanding of polymorphism?
Senior Java Developer
First, I had a technical interview, and then an interview with HR. Everything went well in the technical interview, with interesting questions and a really nice chat. The problem started with the HR interview. The only thing the HR person was interested in was talking about diversity and playing with their dog. They weren't even interested in what I had to say. I understand the company is tolerant in many things, but there needs to be a minimum of serious and professional communication. Tolerance shouldn't be an open door to play with the dog during an interview. Another point, diversity also includes religion and nationality, not just what they highlight in their discourse. Obviously, I refused the offer; I don't identify with their culture.
- Tell me about Java techniques.
- What do you know about architecture techniques?
