Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CI Capital.
Intern
The hiring process for new people involves a few steps. First, we write up a job description, then post the job. After that, we schedule and conduct preliminary interviews. Then comes the in-person interviews, followed by a follow-up with candidates. Finally, we make a hire.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- How did you find out about this opening?
- What makes you want to join our company?
Intern
I was contacted by phone to set up a meeting. The interview itself was a stress interview. The interviewer and their colleagues made the whole experience really unpleasant, doing things like deliberately delaying and changing the room temperature. It was a really bad interview overall, and I wouldn't suggest this employer to anyone else.
- What knowledge do you have about the company?
- Can you share an instance where you contributed to improving a process?
Intern
The interview process was quite lengthy. They asked a lot of questions covering accounting principles, as well as broader macroeconomic topics. Additionally, they probed into industry-specific knowledge and asked about industry betas.
- What's a good way to hedge against inflation?
