The interview was done over a meeting. It was with 1 interviewer who was nice and friendly. He mostly asked questions about ML, DL, NLP, and PYTHON. He also asked me to code in python and gave me a scenario to analyze and figure out the answer.

Coding Technical Behavioral

It was a horrible experience. I went through 3 rounds. The first round had a basic python coding question and some basic ML questions. The second round was with senior management and was mostly behavioral, discussing my previous work, details, and background. The third round was with top management and a junior data scientist, both from the US. They sent a dataset and a coding question via email, which involved basic pandas coding like forming a dataframe and performing operations. After all that, I was ghosted. I followed up with HR and got a vague answer that they moved on with another candidate. It's amazing how they waste candidate time and lack basic professional courtesy.

Technical Coding Behavioral

After applying, I got a phone call 2 days later. The first round tech interview was scheduled for the following week. It had two parts: a coding test using Python and a modeling knowledge test. The coding test was the 'two sum' problem from LeetCode. I hadn't prepared any LeetCode questions. The modeling test was pretty straightforward, asking things like how to handle character and number variables for binary classification and how to evaluate model performance. I got rejected a week later. The HR person was nice and gave me all the feedback.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • Can you explain what object oriented programming is?
  • Solve the Two Sum problem from LeetCode using Python.
  • What model would you suggest for a binary classification task?
