First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Christopher & Banks.
Sales Associate
I knew the store manager from before, so she recruited me. The store was a great place for fashionable, durable, and well-made clothing. It was a fun environment, and the other salespeople were professionals who enjoyed working with women. The interviewer really emphasized being friendly, working as a team, helping customers personally, and having good camaraderie. They were a great team and wanted to keep it that way.

Assistant Buyer
Applied online and heard back about a week later to schedule a phone interview. The first interview was with HR. A week later, I had a 1:1 interview with a Sr Buyer and the HR recruiter to go over benefits. The following Monday, I was asked to interview with another Sr Buyer the next day. This round involved interviews with the Buyer, Associate Buyer, and a Sr Buyer from a different department. After a total of six interviews and another week of waiting, I was told I wasn't selected to move forward. This is okay because when salary was discussed, my request to make at least my current salary (which is for a lower-level position) was deemed too high. Based on other reviews, it seems the company underpays for the workload.

ECommerce Manager
I had a phone interview with HR, followed by an in-person interview at their headquarters with seven people. The in-person part was very thorough, and they even gave me an HR package detailing benefits and PTO, making it feel like my first day. I thought the interviews went well with standard questions, and everyone was friendly. I was expecting an offer or at least a callback, but was surprised to receive an email within a day saying they chose someone else. They still haven't filled the position, which is strange since it's been almost two months. I was bummed, but it's likely for the best.

Software QA Intern
First, I had an interview with HR where we talked about behavioral stuff and a general overview of the technical work. They asked some simple questions about my resume, interests, and hobbies. I also got to ask them questions about the company and the position. It was pretty much a standard get-to-know-you interview. Then, I had an interview with the QA Team.
- Can you share an instance where you were stuck and how you overcame it?
- What motivated your decision to pursue your major?
- What led you to choose your college?
