Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Christmas Tree Shops.
Cashier
I had one interview with a single person where they asked me standard questions about my previous work history. We talked about expectations and the store. The interviewer was nice and I found out more about the store, what they offer, and the different jobs there.
- Can you tell me about your most recent job?
Cashier
I applied and heard back 3 weeks later. The interview was about an hour long and very thorough. The manager was very kind and had a good sense of humor. It was a one-on-one interview, which I felt allowed them to get to know me better and see what I could offer. The other staff were friendly and helpful. My advice for applicants: be thorough and detailed when answering questions, but don't ramble or go off-topic.
- What unique qualities do you possess that would benefit Christmas Tree Shops?
Cashier
Had a straightforward chat at the shop. They asked me some things about leadership and my behavior, and also why I was interested in the company and this job. They got back to me in about a week or two.
- What makes you want to be a part of this company?
- Could you share an example of your leadership skills?
- Tell me about a time you handled a situation requiring [specific behavior].
