Behavioral Technical Presentation

Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn for a phone chat about the role. It was a basic conversation about my background and current job, and they explained the role, team, and company. After three weeks, I met with the HR Director for another general chat about my background, skills, and current job, and I got to ask more questions. Four weeks later, I had a more technical talk with the Director of Supply Chain, who would be my manager, focusing on my fit for the role and company, and I asked about future goals and expectations. The next day, the recruiter scheduled a meeting with the VP. This meeting was mostly about my background and fit, and I asked about the team's long-term direction. Three days after that, I had two more interviews with merchandising people. The SVP and Senior Director were really friendly and just wanted to see how I interact with others, as the role involves working closely with them. I was surprised to have another meeting with the hiring manager because they felt we didn't have enough time during our first chat. We basically repeated our first conversation, and they seemed confused about my last role even though it was on my resume. I asked about next steps, and they said this was the last interview, just needing to check with others before deciding. Then, I was surprised by a second interview with the VP because we didn't have enough time last time. This one focused on collaboration, Excel, processes, systems, and daily tasks. Two weeks later, the recruiter told me they chose another candidate. The process itself was okay, but there were long gaps between rounds.

The process was really fast, first an HR interview then one with the manager. It was efficient, each meeting lasted about an hour. We got to know each other and discussed my motivations. There weren't any tricky questions. The welcome was good.
