Software Engineer
Got contacted by the company via AngelList and they were in a rush to set up an interview. We ended up running out of time during the first one, so we set up a second part for the next day, Friday. They then canceled 10 minutes after it was supposed to start via text. The following Monday, they sent an email to apologize again and suggested we try again the next Friday.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process started with a phone screen with the recruiting manager, who was helpful and organized. Then, I had a phone call with a senior software engineer. Next, there was a take-home assignment. Finally, there was an on-site interview at their Los Angeles office. The engineering team members were friendly and focused on my knowledge and personality.
- Can we discuss your home-assignment in detail?
- Can you solve one technical problem on the whiteboard?
- What are your thoughts on design and architecture questions?
Software Engineer
3 rounds of interviews: 1. Coding challenge. 1 lead engineer, 1 senior engineer (see below). 60 min. 2. System design and architecture. 1 lead engineer, 1 senior engineer (see below). 75min. 3. Behavioral. 1 senior engineering manager, 1 frontend manager. 75min. Overall the process was enjoyable, but unfortunately they refused to provide detailed feedback from any stage of the interview process. They did however send me a request to complete a survey describing my experience interviewing with them. It probably shows lack of process within the organization.
- System design of a pizza ordering app. Start with 'User opens the app', what happens next?
