I went through several rounds of interviews with people from different departments. It was a well-planned process that gave me a good sense of the company culture and what the job actually entails. Overall, it was a good experience, and I felt pretty optimistic about the company and its employees.

It took about 2-3 months from start to finish to get me on board and then fly me to LA for training. The director of sales was really nice. But once we got into training, we had a new manager we hadn't met or talked to before. The whole thing felt pretty laid back in some ways but very high-level in others. They start with a casual "get to know you" call, and the final interview is a Skype call where you have to present a slide deck pitching their technology.

Behavioral Case Presentation

A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. I was a bit slow to respond and took some time to schedule a call because I was already swamped with another job. I followed up, and we ended up having a great almost 2-hour conversation the next day, which involved a bunch of scenario questions about my previous roles. The recruiter then mentioned that if the sales director was interested, they'd be in touch. The day after that, I scheduled a call with the sales director and was sent a personality assessment that took about 45 minutes. The next day was my call, and the recruiter prepped me beforehand, even having me create a PowerPoint for a role-play exercise. The day after that, I had a quick chat with the sales director, which didn't feel much like an interview, followed by a role-play session via Skype. Two days later, I got a job offer over the phone.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The recruiter inquired about my family background, specifically addressing the challenges of discussing a difficult childhood and strained family relationships in a way that sounded qualified without being untruthful.
