First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Choco.
Account Executive
First up was a call with TA, just to screen me for the role. After that, if I passed, I'd have a chat with the hiring manager. The TA was really nice and welcoming; she talked about what the role involves and the company's mission.
- Can you describe your sales experience?
- For your previous two jobs, what was the typical deal size?
- What would you say are your main strengths and weaknesses?
Account Executive
This was probably the most unprofessional interview I've experienced. The hiring manager took the call from her car, camera off, and made it obvious she wanted to wrap things up quickly from the get-go. After I gave a summary of my sales background, she asked two follow-up questions which showed she hadn't actually listened to my first answer. She ended the interview in under 10 minutes, most of which I spent asking her questions, saying, 'Well I have a ton of these this week so.. we will let you know.' It was a total waste of my time, but good to know right away this isn't a place I'd want to work.
- Can you walk me through your sales experience?
Account Executive
It all kicked off smoothly with quick replies and a Teams call scheduled with a leader from the London office. I asked about the hiring process, and they mentioned they move fast and I'd get feedback by the end of the week, regardless of the outcome. My interview was on Wednesday. It's now been two weeks, and after two follow-up emails, I've heard absolutely nothing. I get that maybe I wasn't the right fit, but being totally ignored and ghosted is not a good look for a new company trying to build its reputation. It feels disrespectful to candidates who are genuinely interested and invested time in applying and interviewing. I hope this feedback helps you improve how you handle candidates and the importance of giving feedback, no matter the result.
- Can you describe your main strengths and what drives you, along with your biggest weaknesses?
- What are your expectations for your first six months in this position?
- Could you share an example of a deal or project you're particularly proud of and explain the reasons behind your pride?
