Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Intern
Chill and comfortable. It is a little bit fast-paced as the time for each question is short but the amount of questions is little. Overall a good experience for me.
- Tell me about yourself and your background.
Intern
Got into the program via email invite. The interview was a 1-on-1 with two interviewers. It started with introductions and some academic questions. My advice is to answer questions even if you don't know the answer. Just relax and you'll be fine.
- Tell me about yourself and your GPA
Student Helper
First, we screen your CV. Then, department staff will ask about your relevant experience. You must be registered on CUSIS. You'll need to provide a report for your work time using the student helper worksheet. Legally, it shouldn't be more than 17.75 hours a week, unless it's summer.
- Could you tell me your year, major, faculty, and college?
- Have you had any previous experience as a Student Helper?
- How flexible is your schedule during the week?
