First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at China Bank.
Assistant Accountant
I found the job on a job board. About a week later, HR texted me to see if I was free for an interview. I arrived a bit late. We had to fill out a pre-employment form first, and then I took some exams. If you didn't pass the exam, you couldn't move on to the first interview. The first interview wasn't too stressful. They mostly asked about my resume and my background.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What are your plans for the future?
Staff Accountant
I found the job on jobstreet and applied online. The next day, they sent me a text message for an assessment that included exams. The exams were about logic and grammar/language. If you didn't pass the exam, they would ask you to leave, and those who passed would stay and continue by filling out the application form given to them. After the exam, they would schedule an HR interview based on your location. If you live far away, they would prioritize you and interview you on the same day, but you could also request a different day. After the interview, the HR representative would inform you to wait for a call or text within two weeks if you were shortlisted.
- Can you tell me about your relationship with your family?
Staff Accountant
After applying online, you'll get invited to take some pre-employment exams. If you pass those and the initial interview, you'll then have a final interview.
- Tell me about your strengths.
- What about your weaknesses?
- Where do you see yourself going, career-wise?
