started with a recruiter screen, then a hiring director screen. Following that were rounds 1 interviews (3-5), then round 2 interviews (6-9). Round 2 included a 90-minute PRD write, though mine wasn't reviewed. I felt I did well in round 1 and got good feedback, but interview 6 in round 2 was tough. They also didn't look at my 90-minute document for round 7. The questions were typical consumer PM questions, which were challenging as I've been an internal-facing PM. They had suggested this wouldn't be an issue and said they were looking for an internal-facing PM.

It was a pretty standard interview process. First, I had a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager screen. After that, there were two main interview loops. The first loop included a product case interview, a brainstorming session, and an interview about handling unclear requests. The second loop involved a deep dive into a technical product I'd worked on, a product case study, writing a PRD based on that case study, and evaluating some data.

Went through 4 rounds with an expectation that there'd be a final after the last panel round (did not go past round 2 of panels). 1. Recruiter phone screen 2. Hiring manager screen 3. Round 1 of panels (3 sessions) 4. Round 2 of panels (3 sessions and a take home). This is the longest and most involved interview gauntlet I've come across. FAANG interviews are easier than this. The sessions are broken up bits of what could be accomplished in one Product Sense interview and one Execution interview. The different session exercises are meant to be unique and were sometimes interesting but are just formulaic and confusing. I was never asked to discuss my experience or concrete examples of what I can accomplish, instead it felt like an odd aptitude test of different product manager skills across many hours. Ultimately I spent a month going through this process after being approached by a recruiter only to get a standard rejection. The process is pooled so I had no idea if I would even be interested in whatever role was available at the end of it. This is understandable at large companies like Google or Meta but not at a company of this size. I never write interview reviews but this one was exceptionally frustrating. I went ahead with it against my better judgement just for the experience and interview practice. But I would advise any PM I know not to waste their time.
