So it was 2 rounds of interview. The first interview was with the hiring manager and it only lasted about 6 minutes. Then, surprisingly, I got an invite for an onsite interview, which I accepted. Overall the interview process was okay, but the main issue was that they never got back to me after the interview. I followed up with HR three times and they kept saying they'd let me know once the hiring team made a decision. Two months later, I tried contacting the hiring manager directly, but still no response. It was pretty rude and unprofessional, especially considering they asked me to travel 9 hours, arrive at 10 PM, interview at 9 AM, then take me to the airport 7 hours before my flight, and I had a 10-hour flight back. To top it off, neither HR nor the hiring manager bothered to send a simple email!

I had a phone screen with the director of analytics. Then I had 2 more interviews, one with a research physician and another with a data analyst. The interview with the data analyst is where things went bad. They threw a technical question at me unexpectedly. I wasn't ready for it and bombed. The interviewer seemed to feel bad and ended the interview quickly. I didn't get to ask questions about the job. They were also very condescending throughout the conversation. I did not like my experience with the data analyst.

For this intern role, you'll need to present on your past research and then meet individually with the team members. They're not looking to grill you with tough questions; instead, they want to assess your ability to learn and follow instructions.
