After applying online, I had a phone screen, then Round 1 a couple days later. About 4-5 days after that, Round 2 was with the person from R1 and the team lead. Everything went smoothly, and everyone was professional and nice. A week after R2, the recruiter emailed to say I didn't get the job. I guess the CEO interview might have been a negative; honestly, I don't think CEOs should interview candidates if there are enough people to manage teams, they should trust their people. That would've made it 4 rounds total (including the phone screen), which is too much for an entry-level role.

Super quick and informative interview process! It was great because I got to meet the team and make sure I was a good fit. In total, there were three interviews, and the whole thing wrapped up in just 2 weeks. Honestly, it was the best interview process I’ve ever had.

I submitted my resume and was contacted by the CEO for a phone interview with the Office Manager. I was really excited to interview because this company is very much in line with where I’m looking to take my career and I knew my qualifications were a pretty good fit! I was extremely disappointed when I got on the phone with the Office Manager and she seemed very inexperienced at interviewing candidates. Within the first two minutes of the call, she spoke about Chicory’s history and then asked if I had any questions. It was very awkward and She literally did not even interview me, it felt very odd and the call lasted approx 8 minutes. 6 of which were me asking questions and trying to learn more about the position + trying to squeeze in my qualifications since she had not asked. When it was over, I sent a thank you email and thought to myself “maybe it’s just a preliminary call not an actual interview and the next interview will actually interview me”. She replied to me email and let me know I should expect to hear from someone the following week to set up another interview (she was a lot more personable in this email than our phone call). However, within a few days I received an email saying they have decided not to proceed with my candidacy and left me pretty frustrated. As mentioned, this was a company and position I was super excited about and felt like I wasn’t given a fair chance due to her inexperience and the fact that the phone call was a joke and I literally was not even interviewed. My advice to the company would be to ensure that whoever you have interviewing potential talent is comfortable, this felt very awkward and unfair.
