The store manager interviewed me and described the job. Then she asked a few questions and hired me. But when I started, it was nothing like she said. Every day she asks for more and more, but the pay is little. I ended up leaving the company.

Behavioral Case

After submitting my application online, I received a call about 24 hours later. My first interview was with the Manager, who was really great. Then I met with the Asst. Manager, who was super friendly and made me feel like they enjoy working there - they offer good pay, a bonus, and a nice discount. The final interview was a telephone call with the District Manager, who was strictly business. She asked a lot of questions about how I'd manage staff conflict and customer issues as a manager. The day after that conversation, I got a job offer. The whole process was timely and very professional.

Behavioral Presentation

I spoke with the GM who started by asking me about myself and other typical interview questions, while also describing the role to me. No curveballs, just a standard retail sales interview. Then, I was asked to act as if I had a client and pick out three outfits for her: one for work, one for going out, and a casual one. After that, an assistant manager came in, didn't comment on my outfit choices, but instead had me calculate the total cost of all the items I picked and figure out the commission I would have earned. Finally, another assistant manager joined and asked a few more questions to finalize the interview, which I believe was the GM's way of getting her approval.
