Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chicago Vision.
Marketing Assistant
The entire process was super fast and smooth. Found the job on LinkedIn, applied Monday, and got a call the same day. Called them back Tuesday to schedule my interview for Wednesday. After the first interview on Wednesday, they asked me to come back Thursday to shadow team members out in the field. Even though it messed with my schedule, I made it work. After shadowing, I had a third interview Thursday evening and they offered me the job. Spending the day shadowing was a bit unusual, but I think it's a good and necessary part of this job. It really helps you see what the day-to-day work involves and what will be expected of you.
- What are your career goals for the next six months, year, and two years?
- Are you interested in pursuing a management track?
Marketing
Applied on LinkedIn and got contacted for an interview the same day. Arrived for the interview and there was a room full of people waiting. My interview started over 40 minutes late and took about 10 minutes. The interviewer seemed uninterested in me as a person and more interested in what I could do for the company. She explained the company's structure and rapid expansion, seeking people who could grow quickly. She mentioned I'd hear back between 4-6 PM that evening if selected for a second round. I was selected but declined after reading negative reviews, suspecting it's a pyramid scheme.
- Can you describe your most significant leadership skill?
Marketing Assistant
I really enjoyed interviewing with the company, it was a unique experience. The atmosphere and music were great upon arrival. My first interview was with an English manager. The second round was with managers who explained everything about the company, pay, hours, and progression. I accepted the job and am still with the company, enjoying the team environment and the motivational people with big goals. The company culture and travel opportunities are my favorite aspects. A potential area for improvement could be more meetings discussing the company's history.
- What is your primary motivation?
