The interview process was quite drawn out. It began with a recruiter contact, followed by discussions with a hiring manager and a technology director. The final stage involved an interview loop with four colleagues. While the interviewers were professional and knowledgeable, the recruiter's disorganization and lack of follow-through negatively impacted my overall experience. Despite thorough preparation, the position was offered to another candidate, which is understandable in the current job market. However, I wish HR had shown more respect for my time.

I interviewed with Chewy. The first round was with a Director and it was great. The next round was with the Hiring Manager. I was told I would be asked a question about a real-world Chewy problem, but instead, I got a case study about Google searching for the Apple iPhone. I took a long time to come up with a strategy because I was surprised and I definitely lost the job. Also, the Hiring Manager was initially on speakerphone in an office with many other people talking on their phones, and I could hear everyone. I had to ask her to move during the interview, which I found to be basic. I wasn't very confident about the team after that.

It was a 7-interview process that spanned 4 weeks. The first 3 interviews were critical to get to the final round. It started with a recruiter phone call, then I spoke with a peer PM, followed by the hiring manager. After that, there was a panel interview which consisted of four 1-on-1s with people from design, engineering, and two from product. All of these interviews were on Zoom and lasted about 45 minutes. I also had to complete a writing sample on short notice. The interviewers were all really nice, engaged, and seemed genuinely excited about their work. The recruiting team did a good job of setting expectations for each interview and even assigned specific operating principles to each one.
