First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chetu.
Software Developer
My interview experience with Chetu was really good and professional. They had a well-structured process that really focused on technical skills, logical thinking, and solving real-world problems. The interviewer was nice, helpful, and patient, and they wanted me to explain my thinking process rather than just giving answers. The technical questions were on point for the role, testing important concepts without being tricky or unnecessary.
- Can you describe a time your code failed in a live production environment? Specifically, what was the problem, how did you troubleshoot it, and what modifications did you implement to prevent its recurrence?
Software Development Engineer
So, this whole campus recruitment thing is like a big test to find the best people. First, there's an aptitude test, which is basically to see if you're good with numbers, logic, and words. If you pass that, you go into a group discussion (G.D.), where they watch how you talk and work with others. After the G.D., there's an H.R. interview. This one's all about your personality, if you'd fit in, what you want to do in the future, and some 'tell me about a time when...' kind of questions. The last part is the technical interview, where they really dig into what you know about the core stuff, how you solve problems, and if you can actually do the job.
- They asked me to write the logic for an easy array question.
- They asked me to write the logic for a medium array question.
- They asked me a situational question.
Software Engineer
The interview process started with a telephonic call with a senior member from the BigCommerce team. This was followed by a virtual interview with the Team Leader, where I was asked to reverse an array and some other questions specific to BigCommerce, not much about JS. I applied for BigCommerce and it wasn't too difficult.
- Can you explain what helpers are in HBS?
- How would you reverse an array in any programming language?
