Software Test Engineer
The interview started badly with both the technical and HR people being unsupportive. Because of this negative experience, I'm no longer interested in interviewing with Chetu India Pvt Ltd.

Software Test Engineer
So I was in Bangalore and they had telephonic & skype interviews. It was for a Manual Test Engineer role requiring 2-4 years of experience. They had 6 rounds: 3 technical, 2 written, and HR. I had told them my salary expectations before the interview, and they said they would meet it after I cleared all rounds. But in the final HR discussion, they offered much less than expected and also a 2-year bond. So, if you're good at tech, don't join. They waste your time and want rockstars for cheap.

- Write a Java program to swap two numbers.
- How can you update a table row without using a WHERE clause?
Test Engineer
Chetu hires in bulk daily, so don't wait for a call. Go to their office in sector 63 Noida between 3 PM to 6 PM for an interview if you have at least 1.5 years of experience. Interviews are odd because they work US shifts (2:30 PM to 11:30 PM). Round 1 is a 45-minute computer test with 55 questions on testing, ISTQB syllabus, databases, networks, and math. Most people fail this round, so focus on testing (60%), ISTQB, and basic database theory and queries, plus simple math aptitude. Round 2 is a 10-minute HR round with 10 basic questions requiring one or two-word answers. Round 3 is a technical round focusing on basic testing and database concepts; automation knowledge is a plus. Round 4 is another technical round with a project TL, where interpersonal skills are beneficial. Round 5 is a technical round with a Project Manager; good answers in the previous rounds and confidence are key. Points are awarded for interpersonal/communication skills, basic automation (Selenium/QTP), database knowledge/SQL query ability, testing concept clarity, and confidence. Round 6 is an HR round with a fixed salary band for experience, and if you cleared round 5, you are almost selected.
- I did not find any unexpected questions.
