I had a virtual interview with two tax managers that lasted about an hour. It was mostly a behavioral interview, but they also asked some conversational questions. They seemed really interested in how I work in a team.

The initial stage was pretty standard, focusing on understanding expectations and your ability to perform the job. They mentioned the expected overtime hours. They emphasized work-life balance and good benefits. They also explained the concept of chargeable hours and shared their firm's core values. I met with people from recruiting and also from the interview team.

Behavioral

The interview process began with an on-campus round where I spoke with two senior associates for about 30 minutes each. This was mostly conversational. The next round was at the office. I had breakfast with the team in the morning and lunch afterwards. In this second round, I interviewed with three senior tax associates. Most of the questions were behavioral, like 'Tell me about a time...'. This round was definitely harder than the first, but still not too difficult. The overall experience was really positive, mostly because the people were great – friendly, fun, and genuinely interested in getting to know me.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you share an instance where you had to collaborate with a colleague you found difficult?
