Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CHEP.
Financial Analyst
After submitting my application online, I had a phone interview about a week later. This call lasted around 15 minutes, and the interviewer mainly described the role. The HR person mentioned that the next step would be an interview with the whole finance team in Madrid. I haven't heard back since then.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Do you believe you are a strong candidate for this position?
- Why do you think you're a good fit?
Finance Analyst
The recruitment process with this top global company was really well-handled. First, I had an hour-long interview with the hiring manager that covered a mix of technical and behavioural topics. After getting good feedback, I moved to a second round which was two hours long. This involved looking at a business case and then presenting my analysis and recommendations to the leadership team. Finally, there was a last interview with the leadership team. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about interview preparation.
- Assessment of technical and behavioural competence
Financial Analyst
Started with a recruiter call that went great and lasted about an hour. Then, there was a two-week wait for the in-person interviews. These included a panel interview and several one-on-one sessions. Some interviewers wanted deep dives into my past work, while others focused on general cultural fit. After another couple of weeks, I found out I didn't get an offer.
- Can you share an instance where you made a significant impact?
