Business Development Manager
I was first contacted on LinkedIn by HR asking if I was interested in working at their company due to a new opening. After a brief Skype call, I had two more hour-long Skype interviews with HR representatives where we discussed my past experience, work, achievements, and my thoughts on the position. It was all quite straightforward. Following that, I had a one-on-one interview with the company's CGM, which was challenging and depended on my skills. It's crucial to fully understand the company's operations and recall your main responsibilities from previous roles.
- What is your attire for business meetings?
- Can you identify any companies that would be immediately interested in our offer?
Business Development Manager
The first interview was a phone call with the HR Director. They asked general questions about your past work experiences, your current position, successes you've had, and a couple of project failures. It was an overall summary of why you're interested in the position and why you should be selected. Chep tends to use Lominger competency interview questions, so it's a good idea to get familiar with those.
- What insight from your current role can you apply to this new position?
- What's your motivation for applying to this role?
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated managerial courage by challenging someone more senior?
Business Development Manager
It was a really fast interview process! They really dug into my previous work history and asked how it would be a good fit for this position. I was glad I had a portfolio ready of what I accomplished in my last job, and they seemed impressed.
- What projects have you managed in the past?
- How does your past experience relate to this role?
- Can you show me examples of your past successes from your portfolio?
