Behavioral

After a long wait for the recruiter, the behavior interview was scheduled. It was for 30 minutes. I don't have good feelings about the company; I wasted some energy on this one.

This interview process was different from typical HR-led interviews where questions often miss the mark. The interviewers here were clearly knowledgeable and engaged. They didn't just test my coding and architecture skills, but also collaborated with me on practical healthcare-related scenarios. It was tough, but I managed to demonstrate my cultural fit. They place a high value on cultural alignment, believing that technical skills can be developed internally, but a good cultural fit is crucial for success. I agree with this philosophy. For example, when discussing SOLID principles, they were looking for practical application and examples, not just definitions. They followed this up with whiteboard exercises involving diagrams and code to reinforce these principles. I found it to be a very effective and challenging interview experience, well worth my time.

We started with a couple of recruiter calls, then a basic informal technical interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a HackerRank assessment with simple react questions and a Java Spring boot exercise where the goal was to add annotations to make it runnable. Finally, I had two more interviews with engineers, focusing on javascript and general engineering experience.

  • Can you add the necessary Spring boot annotations to this project to make it work?
