Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ChenMed.
Manager
The process began with good recruiter communication. I went through a few interviews over several weeks, then there was silence. After following up for about 4 weeks, they contacted me to set up an onsite visit in a nearby city. That went fine, and then... silence again. Another 6 weeks later, I got a generic message stating the position was on hold. Their follow-up was really bad. If someone isn't a fit or if the job is on hold, they should just say so. But having candidates go through 4-5 interviews and then being ghosted for weeks is not how I'd want a company to operate. It seems like too much bureaucracy here.
- Can you describe your approach to managing a difficult team?
Management
I had a phone call with leadership, followed by an in-person interview at their New Orleans office where I met company leadership and some local staff.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
Manager
The recruiter found me and called me for an initial interview. They then set up a phone interview with the hiring manager for later that week. It seemed to go well, and she mentioned she wanted to bring me in for an in-person interview. The recruiter contacted me the next business day to schedule the face-to-face interview for later that week. However, the day before the interview, I received a text from the recruiter stating they had hired someone, so my interview was canceled. I had heard their hiring process could be questionable, but I hoped they would prove the rumors wrong. My hopes were dashed.
