Information Management Intern
The whole recruiting process took about 2 months. I applied through my school portal and about 2-3 weeks later, I got an invite for Super Saturday, which is their version of a Superday. There was no initial screening or first-round interview. They fly you out on Friday for a dinner with all the other interns and staff. The atmosphere is quite formal, but the people there make you feel really comfortable. They even put you up in a fancy hotel! The next day, you head to the office with the other interns, attend a few presentations, and then break out for your individual interviews. There are 3 back-to-back interviews, and they are all behavioral. The questions are very conversational, and they make you feel great during the process. You can expect to receive an offer about 1-2 weeks after that weekend.
- Can you describe your past experience and explain what makes you stand out from other candidates?
- How would you handle situations involving ethics, providing justification for your decisions?

I applied online. HR did a quick phone screen and then scheduled a phone interview with the Hiring Manager. The phone interview with the hiring manager was basically a resume discussion, talking about my interest in the position and seeing if I was a good 'fit'. Then I was invited for an office interview. The office interview was pretty straightforward. We discussed the industry in general, my previous job, and again talked about 'fit'. The whole emphasis was on FIT. Had a brief discussion with HR about benefits and what the next steps would be. HR did a great job to paint a rosy picture of the company. I was told that I would be informed either way within 2 weeks. I left the interview feeling very confident. After the deadline passed, I reached out first to the HR about the update and my email was ignored. After that, I reached out to the Hiring manager, and my email was ignored again. I understand people are busy to provide updates, but if a candidate from your office interview who spent 4 hours in your office is reaching out for updates then it takes 10 seconds to say 'no' if that is the case. I thought it was pretty rude and unprofessional to ignore a candidate's follow up email after office interview (even if the answer is no). I think I might have dodged a bullet here.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
Intern
I applied online through my school and didn't hear back for about 2-3 weeks. Then, I got a phone call saying I was selected to fly to Houston for a super day. They covered my flight and hotel, and I stayed with other candidates for different departments. The first day had a meet and greet cocktail event with employees, and then a dinner with people from the department I was interviewing for. The next day started with breakfast and a presentation from each department head, followed by two interviews.
- Can you describe your process for tackling a challenging problem?
Rotational Analyst
I applied during my senior year of college because I had interned at Cheniere before. The first step was a virtual screening where I had to answer some prompts and record my answers. Then, I had an in-person interview at their Houston office. They covered my hotel and travel expenses. I had 6 interviews, each lasting 30 minutes, with various vice presidents.
- Questions about business strategy with a forward-thinking approach.
- Inquiries regarding your interest in the specific department.
- Questions about behavioral scenarios.
