I got contacted for a phone interview pretty fast after sending in my resume. The HR manager was super nice and the chat went great, no tough questions at all. Then, a few hours later, they asked me to come in person. I met with about 6 or 7 people across two teams, and also did a job shadow. Everyone was really friendly and asked fair questions. They also gave really good answers when it was my turn to ask stuff. I sent thank you emails the next morning and got an offer a few hours after that. It was a really good experience.
- What did you learn from the job shadowing part of the interview?
Customer Solutions Specialist
It was a long interview process. First, there was a screening with a Chempoint recruiter. Then, two weeks later, I had a phone interview with an executive that was rescheduled twice. After that, I went for an in-person interview. This included meeting with two groups of two people, followed by a job shadow, some HR paperwork, and a final chat with two more people. They scheduled three hours for the process but couldn't finish on time.
- What makes you want to join Chempoint?
Customer Solutions Specialist
After I applied online through my college listserv, I got an email to do a phone interview with a manager. It lasted about 20 minutes and had the usual behavioral questions. The manager then asked about my salary expectations and what career path I envisioned. Then, the manager and HR emailed me to come in for a 3-hour in-person interview. It involved a series of short interviews with managers from different departments (usually 2-3 at a time) who asked similar behavioral questions. I felt like they were looking for someone energetic and upbeat. They told me they'd decide within the week. I heard back in 48 hours with an offer, and they said a background check was required for the hire. They contacted all my past employers and references, so be sure to be super accurate!
- Can you share an instance where you managed a challenging customer interaction, and how you might have approached it differently in retrospect?
- Tell me about a time you faced a difficult customer. What would you have done differently?
