Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cheil.
Account Supervisor
There were several rounds of interviews with different team leads. It was mostly a vibe check. Just be nice and show you're curious and open to new ideas. Their main client is demanding and they seemed stressed.
- Tell me about a time you managed a multi-part project from start to finish, handling numerous client revisions.
Account Manager
The interview process was pretty slow. The hiring manager only got back after 2 weeks to say I was shortlisted for the next round. The interview went okay, but I was offered an executive position which I turned down.
- Could you please tell me more about yourself?
Account Supervisor
I got a LinkedIn message from a recruiter about the role since I had experience leading the same program at another agency. After a long silence, I got an email to set up interviews. The HR person forgot about our first call and was late to the rescheduled one. She didn't seem to know much about my background even though I sent my resume and portfolio. We talked about compensation, and I'm not sure if they pay less or if she just wanted to end the call. She said I might be better for a Director role, but none were open. She asked me to reformat my resume for the Group Account Director and cancelled my account team interview. I sent the resume right after and never heard back.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Have you worked with CRM before?
- Do you have any digital experience?
