I was referred to Chegg and reached out to a family friend who sent my resume over. About a week later, the intern manager called me. We chatted about my resume and career interests. We then scheduled a formal phone interview for the following week. It was about 30 minutes, she gave me an intro to Chegg, asked me some questions, and then I asked her some. She said she would follow up. A week later, she called with a few internship options in marketing that she thought I'd be a good fit for. I shared my thoughts. Then, about a week after that, I got an offer for a marketing internship which I happily accepted right away!

I applied through my university around February and they reached out in early April for an interview. The interview was on Zoom with the internship manager and her boss. They talked about the role and how Chegg handles internships. Mostly hypothetical questions, or asking about my experience with specific tools. It was about 30-45 minutes and gave me a good feel for the company and the interviewers.

I submitted my application and was contacted for an interview two weeks later. The job description wasn't very clear, making it seem like the role was focused on outreach and PR. However, it turned out they were actually looking for PhD students with strong analytics and writing skills.
